Erin & Matt met each other while working for the same airline. Matt was as pilot and Erin was a flight attendant. Eventually, they both realized what they had already known – they were head over heels in love with each other. Their shared-love of Colorado and the outdoor adventures it offers to their commitment to family and friends, Matt asked Erin to be his wife.
I was honored to be asked to be the month-of coordinator for Erin & Matt’s July 10th Wedding at the beautiful Arrowhead Golf Course. With 3 weeks until the wedding date, I quickly sprang into action and developed a fondness for Erin’s parents, Burt & Mary. They lived close by and I was often at their house going over last minute details and sharing in their delight that their first-born daughter was about to marry the man of her dreams.
Between the beautiful and awe-amazing decor provided by Design Works to the up-beat music played by Mile High Music Patrol, the ambience was magical.
One of the special moments of the night for me is when Erin and her dad, Burt, took to the dance floor for their Father/Daughter dance. They performed the “Cowboy Cha-Cha” and it simply blew me away. I looked in at the reception site from afar and shed a few happy tears for that moment in time. A father’s love for his daughter is something that should always be remembered and protected. I’m sure the day was as tough for Erin as much as it was for Burt. Every daughter should have a father like Burt.
Erin & Matt – I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and may you always remember this special day. Thank you for allowing me to play a small part in such a momentous occasion!
Burt & Mary – It was a pleasure getting to know you so quickly over the 3 weeks. Your love for your family is enough to make anyone jealous. :)
