We are quickly approaching “wedding season” and I thought I would share a few key dates for you to remember:

12 months out – Decide on budget, think big picture (wedding design), reserve ceremony & reception sites

10 months out – Hire wedding planner, start scouting for florist, DJ, photographer & videographer

8 months out – Book your wedding vendors, shop and purchase your wedding dress

6 months out – Meet with wedding vendors to discuss details, register for wedding gifts, order your wedding rings

4 months out – Order bridesmaid dresses, finalize guest list

2 months out – Do hair & make-up trial with stylists, order favors (if you’re providing them), mail invitations (weigh one first to make sure you have enough postage)

6 weeks out – Print the programs, buy gifts for wedding party

2 weeks out – Go to your final dress fitting, call anyone who has not RSVP’d, get the marriage license, finalize seating plan

1 week out – Pack for honeymoon, submit final guest list to caterer, pick up your dress

1 day – Get manicure & pedicure (do any waxings and facials four days prior), hold rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, assemble wedding-day tips in envelopes

Day of Wedding! Eat small, light meals, enjoy the day and knock ‘em dead!
