I came across this wonderful organization by following Sasha Souza on Twitter & Facebook. Sasha, who is nationally known for her divine wedding creations, and who also happens to be the national president of Wish Upon A Wedding, has been using her social media connections to promote this very worth-while organization.
Wish Upon A Weddings was founded by Liz Guthrie, in January 2010 after she produced the nationally-renown “San Francisco $100,000 Dream Wedding Giveaway”. During this experience, Liz spoke of how she learned that “love is blind” in that so many couples were faced with financial difficulties and some couples even having to live with a terminal illness. It was through this experience that she had a vision of providing wonderful weddings to those less fortunate and founded Wish Upon A Wedding. Read below to find out how you can help!

Mission
Wish Upon a Wedding is dedicated to granting weddings and/or civil union ceremonies at destinations across the United States to couples who are facing terminal illness.
Vision
By giving the gift of a dream wedding, we are able to grant some of the most intimate and heartfelt wishes of these people’s lives, and help them share this important day with close family members.
Purpose
Our foundation was created to celebrate the courage, determination and spirit of these couples by granting their dream wedding wishes. Our hope is that chosen recipients can inspire others couples facing similar situations to find hope and strength.
